The Film Research Institute of Tongji University was established in September 2010, originally affiliated with the Film School. It is now affiliated with the College of Arts and Media of Tongji University. The development goal is to build an influential film research team in the country and enhance the academic status and popularity of the University in domestic film academia, supporting activities in discipline construction, film and television creation teaching and the arts and humanities education of Tongji University. At present, there are 26 researchers, 26 external researchers, and 26 academic and creative consultants.
