Facilities

The College has state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, which are located in Weixin Building on Jiading Campus and Block 3 on Siping Road Campus, respectively.

The Department of Communication and the main College administrative offices are located in Weixin Building on Jiading Campus, with a total floor area of over 13,000 m2. It possesses state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities costing more than RMB 60 million. Such facilities consist of public resource and professional teaching and research platforms: the former includes the Branch Library for Arts, New Media Art Gallery, both offline and virtual studios, an automotive photography studio, movie hall, animation lab, non-linear editing lab, digital animation lab, digital audio workstation, electronic media lab, art teaching center, graphic and imaging lab and physical media lab; and the latter includes a computer animation and visual effects lab, interactive media lab, digital audio-visual lab, user research lab and non-planar imaging lab.

The Department of Music and Performance, the Omni-Media Institute and a few College administrative offices are located in Block 3 on Siping Road Campus, with a total floor area of about 3,500 m2. They boast of state-of-the-art teaching facilities related to music and performance, including an experimental theater, a music hall, dance rooms, rehearsal halls, piano practice rooms, performance classrooms, multimedia classrooms, among others.
