The Media Experiment and PracticeTeaching Center of Tongji University

The Media Experiment and Practice Teaching Center is a media innovation practice platform of the College of Arts and Media of Tongji University integrating teaching, scientific research, social services and international exchange. In 2007, it was rated as a school-level demonstration center of Tongji University. Guided by the new media concept, the Center has become the core talent cultivation platform for the College by taking the media culture, media arts and media technology as the working point, breaking the barriers between disciplines and integrating teaching and experimentation methods. The Center also provides important support for the University’s general education in arts and is an indispensable force in the development of the University's Dual First-Class disciplines.

The Center integrates its labs into the six sections of Basic Platform, Converged Media, Future Imaging, Future Media, Trans-sensory Media, and Innovation Base to create an experimental teaching system of “three series”, “three levels” and “four characteristics” where four platforms have been gradually established: Integration of Teaching and Research, University-Enterprise Cooperation, Student Innovation and International Exchange.
